- Du entwickelst praxisnahe Software- und Automatisierungslösungen, die unsere Mission für smarte, CO₂-freie Städte vorantreiben
- Du übernimmst Verantwortung, bearbeitest Aufgaben eigenständig und schreibst klaren, wartbaren sowie qualitativ hochwertigen Code – inklusive umfassender Unit- und Integrations-Tests
- Du trägst aktiv zur Qualitätssicherung bei, testest, führst Code-Reviews durch und gehst Bugs systematisch auf den Grund, analysierst sie und sorgst für nachhaltige Lösungen
- Du klärst offene Fragen und technische Herausforderungen proaktiv im Austausch mit Kolleg:innen aus der Entwicklung und anderen Fachbereichen – immer mit dem Ziel, die beste Lösung für unsere Nutzer:innen zu schaffen

Was solltest du mitbringen?
- Du hast mindestens 3 Jahre Erfahrung in der professionellen Softwareentwicklung, insbesondere mit Python und bestenfalls auch mit SQL
- Du hast Interesse am geschäftlichen Kontext, gehst pragmatisch an Aufgaben heran und suchst stets nach einfachen Lösungen für Probleme (KISS)
- Du kannst sicher mit technischen Spezifikationen umgehen und bei Bedarf auch gesetzliche Vorgaben finden, verstehen und daraus Nebenbedingungen ableiten
- Du kannst technische Zusammenhänge klar kommunizieren - ob im Team oder gegenüber anderen Abteilungen - und sprichst sowohl sehr gutes Deutsch als auch Englisch
- Du bist lösungsorientiert, aufgeschlossen und begeistert davon, neben der Remotearbeit auch vor Ort in unserem Kölner Büro zu arbeiten

That depends entirely on the job you are applying for. In many cases it is sufficient to upload your PDF resume or fill out your Workwise profile.
Are there more informations about the application process?
- Du erhältst innerhalb von 5 Werktagen eine Rückmeldung von uns.
- Unser Erstgespräch findet digital per Google Meet mit uns im HR statt und dauert 45 Minuten. Dieses Gespräch ist ein erstes Kennenlernen.
- Im Zweitgespräch gibt es einen fachlichen Deep Dive inklusive einer kleinen Aufgabe im Gespräch. Unser Head of Thomas wird dir in 90 Minuten mehr Insights zur Stelle geben und wir schauen, wo wir deine fachliche Expertise am besten einsetzen können. Hier werden die Rahmenbedingungen konkretisiert und du kannst deine fachlichen Fragen stellen. Das Gespräch findet in den meisten Fällen vor Ort bei uns im Büro statt.
- Wenn danach beide Seiten immer noch Interesse haben, gibt es ein letztes, drittes Gespräch mit dem/der entsprechenden Unit Leitung, die dich auch noch kennenlernen möchte.

Personal contact is possible via chat as soon as you have been invited for an interview. Before that, you will receive all important status changes by e-mail. If you have any questions, you can contact your personal Candidate Manager:in from Workwise.
I don't think I meet all the requirements. Can I still apply?
What do I have to consider if I am not from Germany?
Please make sure to provide all necessary documents within your Workwise profile. It should include an EU work-permit (if you have no EU citizenship) and a CV at least. Depending on the position you are applying to, you could also be asked for a certificate of enrollment, a transcript of records or a language certificate. We would also recommend to inform yourself thoroughly in advance about visa regulations. Therefore you can use the official visa navigator from the Federal Foreign Office.
What do I have to consider if German is not my mother tongue?
Please take into account the job’s language requirements and make sure the requirements match your skills. In the job search you can use the language filter to find jobs without German language requirements. It is also helpful to provide language certificates.
