Das ist eine fachliche Lead-Rolle, keine Management-Rolle. Du führst keine Mitarbeitergespräche und verantwortest keine Personalplanung — du verantwortest die Qualität und sorgst dafür, dass unsere Auslieferung planbar wird. Du arbeitest eng mit unserem CTO zusammen: Er gibt Architektur und Richtung vor und treibt unsere experimentelleren Projekte. Er baut das Fundament, du sorgst dafür, dass das Team sauber darauf aufbaut.
Was erwartet dich?
- Code reviewen, pairen und der Sparringspartner sein, an den sich das Team bei kniffligen Problemen wendet
- Mit aufbauen, was uns ehrlich gesagt noch fehlt: gemeinsame Standards, sinnvolle Prozesse, Dokumentation, eine echte Review-Kultur
- Die Auslieferung planbar machen — stabile, saubere Ergebnisse im Tagesgeschäft
- Zwei unserer Entwickler (einer aus Go, einer aus dem Frontend/JS) beim Umstieg auf PHP-Backend unterstützen
- Backend: PHP 8 (Yii2), Go (uber-go/fx)
- Datenbank: PostgreSQL
- Frontend: JavaScript + React
- Messaging: Redis (Streams), Kafka
- Infrastruktur: Linux — Produktion auf NixOS, Dev-Laptops auf Arch

Was solltest du mitbringen?
- Starker Senior-Entwickler mit mehreren Jahren Produktionserfahrung
- Fundierte Kenntnisse in mindestens einer Backend-Sprache — idealerweise PHP — und die Bereitschaft, in einem jungen Team zu arbeiten.
- Seniorität und Urteilsvermögen zählen für uns mehr als dein exakter Stack am ersten Tag.
- Den Instinkt, technisch zu führen: Du hebst das Niveau über Reviews, Mentoring und Vorbild, nicht über Autorität
- Du willst in eine Lead-Rolle hineinwachsen — vorherige Lead-Erfahrung ist ein Plus, kein Muss
- Deutsch auf B2/C1-Niveau. Unser Team arbeitet auf Deutsch, das ist nicht verhandelbar.

I don't think I meet all the requirements. Can I still apply?
What do I have to consider if I am not from Germany?
Please make sure to provide all necessary documents within your Workwise profile. It should include an EU work-permit (if you have no EU citizenship) and a CV at least. Depending on the position you are applying to, you could also be asked for a certificate of enrollment, a transcript of records or a language certificate. We would also recommend to inform yourself thoroughly in advance about visa regulations. Therefore you can use the official visa navigator from the Federal Foreign Office.
