Was erwartet dich?
- Du übernimmst die tägliche, liebevolle Pflege unserer Schützlinge – von der Fütterung und Reinigung der Gehege bis zur Verhaltensbeobachtung.
- In enger Abstimmung mit den Tierärzt:innen versorgst du auch kranke und pflegebedürftige Tiere und verabreichst zuverlässig Medikamente.
- Du bist eine wichtige Ansprechperson für Adoptant:innen, berätst sie bei der Auswahl der passenden Fellnase und begleitest den Vermittlungsprozess.
- Als Teil des Teams arbeitest du ehrenamtliche Helfer:innen ein, leitest Auszubildende an und sorgst für reibungslose Abläufe im Tierheimalltag.

Was solltest du mitbringen?
- Du bringst eine abgeschlossene Ausbildung als Tierpfleger:in mit und besitzt den erforderlichen Sachkundenachweis.
- Du konntest bereits erste Berufserfahrung im Tierheimbetrieb sammeln und übernimmst gerne Verantwortung bei der Planung von Arbeitsabläufen.
- Du besitzt ein großes Herz für Tiere und bringst die nötige Belastbarkeit mit, um auch in emotional fordernden Situationen einen kühlen Kopf zu bewahren.
- Ein Führerschein der Klasse B ist für dich selbstverständlich, um mobil und flexibel zu sein.
- Du sprichst und schreibst verhandlungssicher Deutsch, um dich sicher mit dem Team und neuen Tierbesitzer:innen auszutauschen.

About Tierschutzverein Speyer und Umgebung e.V.
Unser Tierschutzverein wurde 1956 gegründet und ist Mitglied im Dachverband Deutscher Tierschutzbund e.V. und dessen Landesverband in Rheinland-Pfalz. Wir leisten Aufklärungsarbeit zum Thema Tierschutz und betreiben unser Tierheim in Speyer. Das Tierheim wurde 1959 eröffnet und wird seither in Eigenverantwortung und enger Zusammenarbeit mit der Stadt Speyer betrieben. Hauptaufgabe im Tierheimbetrieb ist die Versorgung von herrenlosen Haustieren. Wir bieten unseren Schützlingen ein möglichst gutes Heim auf Zeit bis ein neues Zuhause mit artgerechter Haltung gefunden ist.

I don't think I meet all the requirements. Can I still apply?
What do I have to consider if I am not from Germany?
Please make sure to provide all necessary documents within your Workwise profile. It should include an EU work-permit (if you have no EU citizenship) and a CV at least. Depending on the position you are applying to, you could also be asked for a certificate of enrollment, a transcript of records or a language certificate. We would also recommend to inform yourself thoroughly in advance about visa regulations. Therefore you can use the official visa navigator from the Federal Foreign Office.
