Junior Java Developer für Nachhaltigkeit (w/m/d)
Nachhaltigkeit ist insbesondere für Anbieter variantenreicher Produkte eines der Top-Themen für eine erfolgreiche und lebenswerte Zukunft. Die Möglichkeit, unterschiedliche Produktvarianten anhand ausgewählter ökologischer Faktoren (z.B. CO2-Emission, Feinstaubemission, Energieverbrauch etc.) zu betrachten und zu optimieren, ist eine der nötigen Kernkompetenzen für das 21. Jahrhundert, um zu einer nachhaltigen Wirtschaft zu gelangen. Wir haben uns vorgenommen, die Themen Nachhaltigkeit und „Green Configuration“ mit unserem Produktkonfigurator Merlin CPQ umzusetzen.
So gestaltest du mit
- Deine Tätigkeit umfasst die Programmierung von Lösungen auf Basis unserer Konfigurationsplattform Merlin CPQ für unsere Kunden. Hierbei setzt du deine Fähigkeiten als Java-Entwickler ein und professionalisiert diese Schritt für Schritt.
- Im Zentrum unserer Lösung steht dabei unser Produktkonfigurations-Server M.Core, der technisch vollständig auf Java (aktuell OpenJDK 17) basiert, in einem Tomcat-Applikationsserver ausgeführt wird und seine Dienste als RESTful Webservices den verschiedenen Angular-Webclients anbietet.
- Algorithmisches Herzstück ist ein constraintbasierter Solver, der mit einem OR-Optimizer Hand in Hand arbeitet, um so z.B. ökologisch optimale Konfigurationen zu finden.
- Konkrete Tätigkeit ist vorrangig Programmierung in Java, aber auch die Erstellung von Tests, Teilnahme an Code Reviews sowie das Einbringen deiner Entwicklungen in die gemeinsame Codebase.
- Modernste Technologien unterstützen dich bei deiner Arbeit, unter anderem Git, Gitlab, Jenkins, SonarLint, Docker, Kubernetes, Confluence, Jira und viele mehr. Deine Hardwareausstattung kannst du selbst mitbestimmen, so dass du alles zur Verfügung hast, was du für eine effiziente Programmierung benötigst.

In your application overview you have an overview of the application progress at any time. Additionally, we send you emails about the most important status changes.
Can I send several applications at once?

No, companies can only see the applications they have received.

I don't think I meet all the requirements. Can I still apply?
Even if you don't meet all the requirements, you can make up for missing knowledge with additional skills. Use the application's questions to address your motivation and show the company why you are still a good fit for the job. If you don't meet many or all of the requirements, the application will not be successful.
What do I have to consider if I am not from Germany?
Please make sure to provide all necessary documents within your Workwise profile. It should include an EU work-permit (if you have no EU citizenship) and a CV at least. Depending on the position you are applying to, you could also be asked for a certificate of enrollment, a transcript of records or a language certificate. We would also recommend to inform yourself thoroughly in advance about visa regulations. Therefore you can use the official visa navigator from the Federal Foreign Office.
