
TECO - KIT
Our research group was founded in 1993 at the University of Karlsruhe for leading edge research in close collaboration with the industry. Our research field is Ubiquitous Computing with a current focus on artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction and sensor systems. Current application areas are wearable computing, industry 4.0, health and smart city.
We are also heading Germany’s Big Data Centre, the Smart Data Innovation Lab (SDIL) and co-heading Baden-Württembergs Smart Data Solution Center (SDSC). We are associated with the chair of Pervasive Computing Systems group of the Institute of Telematics at our university which covers the education activities.

How we work
We are an interdisciplinary team doing research in one of the most dynamic fields of computer science. Our research is designed to be creative and novel, while producing generalizable results that we publish in premier journals. Our aim is to quickly transfer these results either to industry or to start-ups by developing tools and systems in our industry-driven projects.

Our location
Our University is located in the east part of Karlsruhe, it is really easy to reach via bike or public transport. There are a lot of restaurants nearby and the city park is right around the corner.
