TECO - KIT

Our research group was founded in 1993 at the University of Karlsruhe for leading edge research in close collaboration with the industry. Our research field is ​​Ubiquitous Computing with a current focus on artificial intelligence, human-computer interaction and sensor systems. Current application areas are wearable computing, industry 4.0, health and smart city. We are also heading Germany’s Big Data Centre, the Smart Data Innovation Lab (SDIL) and co-heading Baden-Württembergs Smart Data Solution Center (SDSC). We are associated with the chair of Pervasive Computing Systems group of the Institute of Telematics at our university which covers the education activities.
