Senior Field Applications Engineer (m/f/d)
This position will expose you to state of the art microcontroller and security applications, covering a wide variety of Automotive applications such as in-vehicle networking, electrical vehicles, autonomous driving, driver assistance systems and many more. This position will allow you to contribute on many high-volume applications in Germany and Europe, completing Microchip’s system approach together with other FAE’s from different function groups to create entire system solutions for our customers.
Was erwartet dich?
- Build up profound knowledge on Microchip’s security related products
- Assess Tier1 & OEM security requirements to propose the best suitable solution.
- Support customer evaluations & on-boarding, provide trainings and hands on.
- Support our customers in implementing typical functionalities like secure boot, CAN message authentication, Electric Vehicle (EV) battery authentication, Transport Layer Security (TLS), WPC 1.3 Qi® authentication, High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP).
- Promote Microchip’s security solutions on Exhibitions, Road shows, seminars/webinars …
- Interact with Microchip’s various Business Units, provide market feedback to help developing new security concepts & solutions.

Was solltest du mitbringen?
- BSc / BEng or Master degree in Electronics or Physics
- Minimum 4 years design experience in security and microcontroller applications, preferable automotive industry competencies
- Sound understanding of state of the art security concepts, use cases, threats.
- Willingness to learn.
- Works effectively in a team with account managers and other application engineers
- Self-Starting Learner – proactively keeps up to date with new technologies and products, creating innovative solutions for our customers
- Fluent usage of German and English language preferred
Mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung erforderlich

What do I have to consider if I am not from Germany?
Please make sure to provide all necessary documents within your Workwise profile. It should include an EU work-permit (if you have no EU citizenship) and a CV at least. Depending on the position you are applying to, you could also be asked for a certificate of enrollment, a transcript of records or a language certificate.
