Job Invitations with Workwise
Job invitations allow you to be found by companies on the platform and to be made aware of a job offer. This has several benefits: Not only do you have to actively search for jobs yourself, you may also discover companies or industries that you didn’t know before. Brief summary
Companies can make you aware of interesting job positions with the help of job invitations. If the function is enabled in your settings, recruiters can see basic information of your profile (e.g. prename and practical experiences). Should your profile match the job’s requirements, recruiters can contact you via the platform. It is up to you whether or not you want to apply for the job.
The function is set to default for all registered users since April 2020. If you don’t want to receive job invitations, you can of course deactivate the function in your settings.

Companies have the possibility to see your profile on Workwise and make you aware of their job positions if the function job invitations is enabled in your settings. In practical terms, this means that the company would be happy to receive your application.
Apart from that, nothing changes: You can still search for a job. In addition to that, you will be contacted from companies if they are interested in your profile.
Since the company has approached you, your chance of getting the job is very good. You may become aware of companies you didn’t know about which opens up new opportunities.
What data is visible for recruiters when I enable job invitations?
Initially, companies only see your profile picture, your prename and the initial of your surname. Besides, following sections of your profile are visible:
- Career goal
- Language skills
- Skills
- Practical experience
- Education
No access is given to your uploaded documents and contact details.
What do I have to do to be invited by companies?
If you are newly registered, you don’t need to do anything as the function is set to default since April 2020.
Should you happen to create your profile before April 2020, you have to enable the job invitations in your settings.
- Log in by clicking on “Log in” (Einloggen) in the top right corner in the menu.
- Hover with the mouse over your name and click on “Settings” (Einstellungen).
- Scroll down to the section “Job invitations” (Jobeinladungen).
- Click on the button next to “Let companies invite me” (Lass mich von Firmen einladen) to enable job invitations.
It is important that you always keep your profile up to date. This ensures that companies get the best impression of you.
What is the process after being invited?
Normally, you receive an email from the company with the wish to apply for a specific job. Depending on the company-specific application process, you may even need to confirm your interest with just one click to take the next steps in the application process.
What do I have to do when I don’t want to receive job invitations?
You can unsubscribe from job invitations in your settings:
- Log in by clicking on “Log in” (Einloggen) in the top right corner in the menu.
- Hover with the mouse over your name and click on “Settings” (Einstellungen).
- Scroll down to the section “Job invitations” (Jobeinladungen).
- Unsubscribe from the job invitations by clicking on the button next to “Let companies invite me” (Lass mich von Firmen einladen).
